After getting an HR degree from UW-Milwaukee, I obtained a master’s degree in Student Affairs from Eastern Illinois University. Prior to joining the Magellan team in 2019, I worked in various roles in higher ed for more than seven years including Residence Life, Student Life, and Enrollment Management. I found my way to Magellan after having a great experience as a client.

As a Client Strategist, I love that I get to tie in my background of higher ed with finding creative solutions for our collegiate partners. I’ve always enjoyed building relationships, and I get excited to see a branded merch conversation come to life to make an impact for students, alumni, and staff.

I like to describe myself as a cliché Wisconsinite. Grew up on a farm, love my Green Bay Packers, always add extra cheese, love exploring new breweries, and enjoy getting outside for most of the seasons (winter is debatable).  Besides doing all of the WI things, I enjoy being a boy mom and spending time with family, attending sporting events, being active, and lounging with a hot coffee and a good book!

What would be your baseball walk out song?

What was your favorite band/artist 10 years ago?

Green Day – It’s been a while, but I have their CD somewhere.

What job would you be terrible at?

Singer – I’m terrible, my family can attest!

Variable Data Best Practices

  • At the quoting stage of your project, please let us know how many fields of variable data your piece will have as this can affect pricing.
  • Data should be provided to us as an Excel spreadsheet with only the applicable data included.
  • Verbiage for variable data fields on artwork file should match up exactly with data fields on spreadsheet.
  • Spacing on artwork must allow for longest data entries. We recommend that your designer tests this in advance to confirm that the fields in the design can fit your longest pieces of data.

Postage Permits

We are happy to mail using a client’s USPS non-profit number. Here are a few best practices for this to go smoothly. Let our team know up front on the project so we can make sure to get the information we need right away.

While our mail house does prefer to use their permit number for the mailing, we can use the client’s permit, If using their permit number, ensure there is enough postage to cover the mailing.

The information we need to in order to use a client’s nonprofit number includes the following:

Formatting the Mailing List
