I found Magellan Promotions right after my graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran College, where I earned a degree in Business Administration & Marketing. I never expected to find such a passion for branded merch, but it is a very fun industry to work in and I love that no day is the same! Working at Magellan Promotions I have also made some wonderful friendships and am so grateful for our team.

Throughout my time in school I always held multiple jobs, several of them being customer service based which I feel gave me the skills to work in a fast paced environment while being friendly, helpful, and accurate. I thrive when I am challenged and my clients here do that by looking to me to provide truly creative and out of the box solutions. Product research gets me excited! I have 3 younger sisters so they are my focus group when I am wondering what items are most exciting to college students.

There are so many cool things to do in the Milwaukee area so I really try to take advantage of that, between concerts, comedy shows, theater, book clubs, farmers markets, and all the wonderful restaurant spots. I have a rescue pup and love taking her on hiking adventures. I also enjoy playing tennis, volleyball, and am trying to pick up golf. My house was built in 1940 so I constantly have projects in the works and have learned to be handy, but it’s very fulfilling knowing that I am bringing life back into this home.

Variable Data Best Practices

  • At the quoting stage of your project, please let us know how many fields of variable data your piece will have as this can affect pricing.
  • Data should be provided to us as an Excel spreadsheet with only the applicable data included.
  • Verbiage for variable data fields on artwork file should match up exactly with data fields on spreadsheet.
  • Spacing on artwork must allow for longest data entries. We recommend that your designer tests this in advance to confirm that the fields in the design can fit your longest pieces of data.

Postage Permits

We are happy to mail using a client’s USPS non-profit number. Here are a few best practices for this to go smoothly. Let our team know up front on the project so we can make sure to get the information we need right away.

While our mail house does prefer to use their permit number for the mailing, we can use the client’s permit, If using their permit number, ensure there is enough postage to cover the mailing.

The information we need to in order to use a client’s nonprofit number includes the following:

Formatting the Mailing List

Our account team will advise on specific requirements for your project’s mailing list.  We generally recommend these best practices to format the mailing list:
